wide format printer? which one for me?

I am looking for a wide-format printer / inkjet or laser
11×17 – I am designing and printing my own news letter – 1500 per month – 25% color coverage – I need help! So many to choose from -

If i were you i would steer more towards the laser, Inkjets are very good at images, Photos etc and the text isn’t bad at all but if your looking at printing 1500 copies per month and it may have multiple pages it will cost you in the long run going for the Inkjet.

The lasers are more set up for your needs as they tend to be faster (not in every case though) and the ‘cost per copy’ will be cheaper using a laser printer.

Plus you will have a degree of water resistance to your news letter as there is NO INK to run when wet, that dosnt mean however that your prints will be WATERPROOF….

Hope this helps, and shop around online because i wouldnt really consider your needs ‘Wide Format’ and you’ll hardly need full service and support like the bigger machines (i work in the industry). You’ll get the machine delivered and its as simple as plug in a usb cable and set up a windows print driver…. really really easy!
